Job Description: Sanitation Aide – Dietary Department
Duty Hours: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm weekdays and weekends
8:00 am – 2:00 pm weekends
And as needed
Job Summary:
The sanitation aide (part-time) is under the direct supervision of the Dietary Manager and Assist. Dietary Manager and sometimes the Cooks. Worker is responsible for sanitation of the dietary department and delivery and pick-up of meal trays served.
Qualifications:
· Able to follow job directions;
· Able to work with industrial cleaning products;
· Prefer past experience in janitorial/sanitation work
Responsibilities:
· Push meal carts to nurse’s station.
· Deliver doctor’s trays to clinic or ER.
· Pick up meal trays from hallways and rooms.
· Pick up doctor’s trays from clinic or ER.
· Sweep and mop dining room after each meal.
· Take out garbage after meals.
· Sweep and mop kitchen, pantry, dietary office, and back porch.
· Take out garbage cans and mats every day to clean.
· Clean carts.
· Keep janitor’s closet clean and in order.
· Clean fans in dietary department.
· Mop heads sent to laundry daily.
· Keep top down on dumpster.
· Keep blinds and windows in dining room clean.
· Keep outside mop room clean.
· Clean stove top two times a week.
· Put up groceries on delivery day.
· Clean venta hood weekly.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds. Some moving and lifting up to one hundred (100) pounds may be involved with this job position.
· Ability to stand for extended periods.
· Fine motor skills.
